The 80 G9, named such for its 8-inch 1024x768 display, will come in three variants, each a step up from the last.
The 8GB variant comes in at the lowest price point of the three at $299, and is the only one to pack a 1GHz processor instead of a 1.5GHz OMAP.
The 16GB and 250GB variants will rock the more powerful 1.5GHz processor and come in at $329 and $369 respectively.
The 101 G9 is priced much the same way, except there is no 8GB, 1GHz variant. The 101 features a 10.1-inch 1280x800 display and the same 1.5GHz processor as the more powerful 80 G9s and offers the same storage options, albeit at higher price points: the 16GB version will be $399, while the 250GB variant will be $70 higher at $469.
I emailed the local distributor of Archos here in the Philippines to check with the availability and pricing. And they did reply back promptly:
I'll keep on updating you guys if I can get some more information soon."Regarding your inquiry below, the Archos G9 tablets should be available around the month of October, if things go as planned. I can send you an email to notify you once they're available with our dealers already, if you want. As for the pricing, nothing has been finalized yet. All I can say for now is that we're trying our best to push it down to sub-20 thousand peso levels."
